APPLETON, Wis. (Sept. 18, 2023)–Fleet Farm will once again partner with The Pink Fund this October to raise money for breast cancer patients as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. From Oct. 1-31, shoppers at all 49 Fleet Farm stores will have the option to round up their total purchase at checkout.
“When thousands of people make a small donation, together they are helping breast cancer patients meet everyday financial needs while they go through treatment,” said Molly MacDonald, The Pink Fund founder and breast cancer survivor. “Fleet Farm also educates people about The Pink Fund as a resource for financial aid for breast cancer patients, which is critical to our mission.”
The money raised will provide active breast cancer patients with 90-day financial grants to help them pay for critical expenses, such as housing, transportation, utilities, and insurance. By receiving financial support, grant recipients will have decreased stress levels and can focus on healing.
In 2022, this effort resulted in a donation of $187,500 to The Pink Fund, providing financial grants to 75 active breast cancer patients.
In conjunction with the round-up campaign, store team members will bring awareness to the campaign by wearing a pin on their vest or uniform.
