APPLETON, WISCONSIN — Fleet Farm is teaming up with Taps for Veterans to honor fallen soldiers on Memorial Day by participating in the third annual Taps Across America. On Monday, May 29, buglers will sound Taps at 3 p.m. at local Fleet Farm stores during “Fleet Farm salutes Taps Across America.”
“Taps Across America brings the country together with a simple, unifying event. It offers everyone an opportunity to pause and remember fallen service members in the true spirit of Memorial Day,” said Nick Widi, Chief Retail Operations Officer, Fleet Farm. “We’ve had great response from customers. They appreciate the chance to pay their respects and preserve the legacy of this important American tradition.”
Fleet Farm and Taps for Veterans have found some of the nation’s best buglers for this year’s event. As part of this National Moment of Remembrance, stores will observe a
minute of silence at 3 p.m. followed by a single bugler sounding Taps. The public is invited to attend at their local store.
